Wifi Engineer

Description

The Engineer for Mobile and wireless core will be responsible for:
Implement, integrate, deploy and maintain new and current IMS services and technology to stand up our cloud native IMS Voice Core platforms:
SBCs, TAS, P/I/S/E-CSCF, BGCF, DRA, HSS, MRF. (Nokia platforms knowledge is a plus)
Engage with vendor personnel to solve issues, implement new features and network functions.
The engineer must have strong knowledge in IMS service functions and protocols for VOIP/VOLTE calls, SMS over sip, call routing, Xcap services (UT-Interfaces), Diameter and other IMS features over either LTE of 5G NR air interfaces.
The candidate should understand the concepts of: Mobility, ISIM, 3GPP standards.
The candidate should be open to be part of the On-call rotation, to support the network operation or emergencies in a 24/7 availability for 1 week, every 3-4 weeks and support during maintenance windows and troubleshooting activities.
BAU Activities

Alarms validation: Reviewing system alarms, solving the issues with their knowledge or with Vendor support.
System monitoring: Following up network KPIs and make sure they keep the trend, if not investigate why and take corrective actions if needed.
Identify and propose new optimization to improve the quality of experience of the customer.
Test and implement new network features to improve the quality of experience of the customer.
Participate and perform cross trainings with the team.
Perform Backup/Restore activities.
Support during outages activities with Vendor support.
KPI report creation and analysis.
Be part of the On call rotation, supporting emergencies and alarms 24/7, in case of needed, a few weeks every 4-5 weeks.
Support during maintenance windows activities. (late night/Early morning)

IMS core knowledge, SIP protocol, IMS call flow

Signaling Diameter, Signaling SS7

EPC knowledge.

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications /Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience in the field.
