- Healthplan API developer experience specifically within FHIR – “Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources”
Additional info on FHIR (they pronounce FIRE – please ask the candidates’ knowledge and experience with this before going into detail – if they don’t know what it is or explain something else they are not a fit)
- Govt mandated insurance plans had to give consumers access to their data
- DMAS came up with standard to say API should be written in FHIR standard so that no matter which system is sending /receiving healthcare data, it should all be sent and rec’d in same format. No need to rebuild API – always able to accept it because everyone is using them FHIR standard.
- Res; Graph QL were also highlighted as must haves
Soft – Ability to add value within a fast pace, quick-growing team. This person will be able to work in “true consultant fashion” meaning they will jump in and catch on quickly and be able to apply already existing knowledge and experience of the applications/softwares and process to make the team most efficient in their area as it pertains to the specified focus.
Responsibilities
- - Experience with transitioning legacy APIs into fire standard or rest reusable standard) focus around rebuilding around reusability
- - Building APIs in the cloud
- - Transitioning from legacy home-grown system that was not in the cloud
- - Had APIs on prem and put on cloud and now need to modernize and make reusable
- - Versioning strategies and governance for APIS.
