This role is within the Optum Insight Marketplace team. The position will make use of development, planning, and deployment expertise to support our customers and the developer community as they build products to be launched on our platform
Work with project management and engineering teams to make sure that our customer deadlines and technical requirements are fulfilled, and they will also input requirements into the product roadmap
Assist teams with onboarding APIs to the enterprise API platform (Apigee)
Escalate customer issues/roadblocks to Product Management
Provide roadmap feedback to the product and development teams
Responsibilities
- 5+ years’ experience in overall software development
- BS/BA in computer science or related experience
- Must demonstrate fundamental web service understanding.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in the API Management and Gateway space
- Apigee API Gateway Knowledge – Infrastructure builds and maintenance, Gateway setup, OAuth. configuration
- Ability to create custom policies in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python on the Apigee platform.
- Experience with CICD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub)
- Agile development methodology experience
- Good understanding of REST API and JSON
- Development experience using public cloud E.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure
- Operational experience deploying, monitoring, and supporting a solution.
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Good communications skills
- Strong IT experience in quality practices and software development life cycle methodology
- Experience in Healthcare industry is a plus
