At least 10+ years of working experience in data driven consulting services area • Strong knowledge of Telcom principles • Have a background in any of the following: Network design and deployments troubleshooting. • Experience designing building in an AWS cloud environment. • Have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business product and technical solutions. - Be able to work effectively across internal and external organizations and teams. • Verbal and written communication skills to be able to facilitate discussions in a customer organization as well as the technical background that enables you to easily interact with and give guidance to other team members working in an operational role. • Have a passion for designing and building cloud computing systems for the leader in 5G telecom today. Description

Verizon business is looking for an AWS Solutions Architect to join an architecture team. You would be part of a supportive team, working together migrate Verizon customers to the AWS Cloud, in a non-disruptive, cutting-edge cloud computing technologies to Verizon’s customers. In this role, you will need an understanding of the AWS architecture to include (VPC, subnets, Routing protocols, Bring your own IP, DNS, DX and DXGW. A basic understanding of MPLS & BGP is required. Understand of x-eni features, transit gateway and transit gateway connect is necessary for your role. The team will be using overlay tunnels specifically GRE tunneling. You will be required to create cloud formation templates and will be assisting the team in the creation of documentation, slideware. Although you will be part of a team a self-starter is a must. Position Summary Complete understanding of the AWS underlay architecture (VPC, subnets, Routing, Bring your own IP, DNS, DX and DXGW) Basic understanding of MPLS Understanding of the x-eni features Understanding of the transit gateway and transit gateway connect Understanding for routing protocols mainly BGP Understanding of overlay tunnels mainly GRE Nice to have would be creating cloud formation templates Should be able to create and present slides or documentation Should be a self-starter

Responsibilities

• Experience working in or with we focused industry (Telecom) • Working knowledge of cloud-native architectures; AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or equivalent certifications. • You will enjoy building and expanding your technical skills, to the point that you can not only contribute to, but lead deep architecture discussions around systems and applications in the cloud.
