As a Senior Software Development Engineer (Server Side) for BestX product The ideal candidate will be: Seeking a backend developer with 10-15 years of object-oriented programming experience and server-side skills. Strong preference in experience with Databricks Snowflake 90% backend development experience is required Tech stack includes React and Angular for UI Node.js for server-side and PostgreSQL for the database. Focus on migrating to Databricks and using existing KDB infrastructure. Experienced in real-time data handling especially in fixed income markets. Flat team structure. Utilizes CI/CD practices like AWS Code Commit Veracode and integrated user acceptance testing. Processes data from Kinesis feed and client analysis on KDB and PostgreSQL databases initially focusing on FX augmentation. Real-time data processing supported by Kafka and Spark platforms. Financial services experience required.Description

- Responsible for implementation and delivery of new server side components, micro services, web api, and enhancements to the BestX product
- • Exhibit superior skills in modern Agile, Cloud-based, Server side, DB, Development.
- • Develop understanding in the area of Transaction Cost Analysis and key benchmarks required for MiFID and MiFIR
- • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the application and influencing technology decisions
- • Responsible for taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through completion
- • Responsible for establishing best practices, clean-code and design patterns.
- • Be passionate about driving change through an organization
- • A proponent of TestDriven Development always striving to Shift Left so as to facilitate effective CI/CD
