In this role you will lead an engineering team focused on building and delivering scalable data and analytics solutions in Supply Chain- Global Operations and Logistics and Commercial space. The team will design implement and integrate new technologies and evolve data and analytics products. You will be contributing to all aspects of data engineering from ingestion transformation and consumption in addition to designing and building test-driven development reusable frameworks automated workflows and libraries at scale to support analytics products. Experience establishing and maintaining Code/Build/Deployment tools Ability to quickly triage and troubleshoot complex problems Build reusable code with the ability to scale with very large data volumes and scale with added complexity You will work on creating an Intelligent supply chain control tower enabling E2E collaboration and automated decisions for Nike’ Inventory Management. You will provide domain-specific expertise and overall engineering leadership and perspective to cross- organization projects programs and activities. You will also participate in architecture and design discussions long term roadmaps and provide guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members. You will ensure you and team delivers on business commitments while delivering operational and engineering excellenceDescription
Establishes database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy. Documents and communicates database design. Evaluates and installs database management systems. Codes complex programs and derives logical processes on technical platforms. Builds windows, screens and reports. Assists in the design of user interface and business application prototypes. Participates in quality assurance and develops test application code in client server environment. Provides expertise in devising, negotiating and defending the tables and fields provided in the database. Adapts business requirements, developed by modeling/development staff and systems engineers, and develops the data, database specifications, and table and element attributes for an application. At more experienced levels, helps to develop an understanding of client's original data and storage mechanisms. Determines appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization. Determines how tables relate to each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model.
Responsibilities
- Work with Technical team/ Enterprise Architecture to identify and design data pipeline with enterprise platforms and tools.
- Develop data pipelines for projects using the leveraging standards, guidelines and data governance rules and policies.
- Responsible for tunning the data pipeline for performance and scalability
- Work with other technical teams to develop new features, Work in Dev-ops model, Support issues.
- Solve complex, high risk data issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues in collaboration data product teams
- Building proof of concepts addressing current and future customer needs; anticipate.
- Identify and solve issues concerning data to improve data quality, address operational & performance issues, remove technical bottlenecks and perform root cause analysis as needed
