Explanation for Position The Senior Applications Developer provides input and support for, and performs full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.).He/She participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements.This position provides input to applications development project plans and integrations.He/She collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives.This position provides knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance.He/She provides input to department and project teams on decisions supporting projects. Details of Position The Senior Applications Developer will be a member of Strategic Package Planning Systems development team responsible for high performance, realtime applications that are critical to UPS operations.Responsibilities include Participation in requirements analysis, system and software designs, coding, unit testing, product test support, and deployment support.Technical focus is on the serverside (vs. GUI) implementation of realtime, databasedriven applications, services, and service management components written in C++, C#, and SQL using Microsoft Visual Studio and related toolsets.To achieve desired levels of performance, application databases are implemented in CTree (FairCom); experience with this product/platform is a plus, not a requirement. Management Skills Must be selfmotivated, dependable, proactive, organized, communicate clearly both orally and in written communications. Primary Skill C# .NET AdvancedCOM+ Application Using .NET AdvancedC++ Intermediate Additional Skills SQL Language Advanced.NET Windows Forms Programming AdvancedTechnical Knowledge of Hardware & Software IntermediateScrum Intermediate
