Cloud Security Engineer

Description

· 3+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on AWS or GCP

· Standardising Azure/GCP and/or AWS Security Best practices, processes and procedures

· Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., JSON, Python, Bash)

· 1+ years’ experience with CI/CD pipelines or security tooling for cloud-native deployments

· Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, including IAM, networking and data protection

· Experience with Python, Golang, Terraform or equivalent source control technologies and best practices related to automation in a cloud environment.

· Working knowledge of Kubernetes

· Relevant certifications such as CCSK, AWS Certified Security, Azure Security or equivalent

· Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• · Develop and improve security policies, procedure, and standards for cloud operations
• · Enhance cloud security control frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• · Collaborate with cross functional teams to design secure cloud architecture and services
• · Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities
• · Design and develop automation scripts and tools to streamline security processes and enhance efficiency
• · Continuously analyse security process and control to identify areas of improvement
• · Propose and implement enhancements to stay ahead of evolving threats and technologies
• · Conduct cloud based risk assessments
• · Collaborate with infrastructure and application development teams to improve security configuration and automation.
• · Participate in cloud security control policy-making and provide recommendation aligned with company goals and standards
