We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cognos Developer with expertise in PL/SQL, data structures, complex queries, data marts, and creating dashboards. As a Cognos Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Cognos-based solutions that meet the business intelligence and reporting needs of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design and develop data models, data structures, and database schemas to support reporting and analytics.
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL code to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data marts.
• Create and maintain complex queries and stored procedures to retrieve and manipulate data.
• Design and build data marts to support efficient reporting and analytics.
• Define and implement data integration processes and ETL workflows.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency within the data marts.
• Develop Cognos reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
• Create and customize Cognos reports using various report types (e.g., list, crosstab, chart).
• Design and implement interactive dashboards with drill-down capabilities.
• Apply best practices for performance tuning and optimization of Cognos reports.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs and requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team and assist in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
