We are seeking a talented and experienced Cybersecurity Architect to join our team and lead the security strategy for our project involving Databricks within a cloud computing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security, data protection, and the Databricks platform. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and compliant solutions that protect our data and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Security Architecture Design: Develop and implement comprehensive security architectures for Databricks projects in a cloud computing environment, ensuring the protection of data, applications, and infrastructure.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in cloud-based Databricks projects and implement mitigation strategies.
- Cloud Security Best Practices: Apply cloud security best practices to secure data, access controls, and network configurations within the Databricks platform.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) by implementing appropriate security policies and controls.
- Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies. Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects, to integrate security into all aspects of the project.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of security architectures, policies, and procedures. Prepare and present reports on security status and incidents to stakeholders.
- Education and Awareness: Provide security training and awareness programs for team members to promote secure practices and compliance. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging security trends and technologies. Continuously improve security measures and best practices.
Educational Requirements
- Both Cybersecurity Engineering and Analyst positions will work with system owners to drive remediation plans, communicate information to stake holders through dashboards and reporting, and review exception requests for threat and risk.
- Looking specifically for expertise with vulnerability and misconfiguration remediation in the cloud (Azure / AWS), with experience leveraging cloud audit technologies such as Wiz or Prisma. The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple tools to identify weaknesses in internal and internet facing systems by detecting vulnerabilities, missing patches, and misconfigurations that expose Banners systems to potential exploits. The candidate can demonstrate experience supporting vulnerability remediation across both on-prem and cloud technologies, preferably supporting a healthcare environment. Experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response Module and PowerBi is a plus.
