Skills
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science data management information systems or related field from an accredited college or university 10 years of experience in a technical solution design or Data Architect role Demonstrated experience with data modeling common information architecture frameworks master data management data warehousing business intelligence Experience using architectural methodologies and frameworks like TOGAF Zachman and ArchiMate Experience with data activities related to Customer Interactions Customer History Billing Master Data and Rates Service contracts Work orders etc. Deep knowledge of the business master data - Business Partners Contract Account Contract Billable Service etc. Data model expertise with IS-U technical objects such as Contract Accounts Premise device connection object POD installation Customer enrollments/drops/reinstatements Supplier Mass drops etc. Experience with Data integration points that enable the ISU data model Knowledge of SAP ISU Billing payment solutions and experience with service-oriented architecture Customer Master data including Utilities 360 and an oversight in rate / tariff design and build for all customer classes including complex bills Strong understanding of both cloud-to-cloud and on-premises system integration coupled with essential knowledge of SAP business processes for the utility (gas) industry Experience in system architecture normalization considerations and in intersystem communication strategies including ESB iPaaS and web services Experience with an ETL tool (ex. SSIS Boomi or Informatica Power Centre Mulesoft Oracle) Experience with master data management projects and practices an assetDescription
Oversees the implementation of discipline and approach for information/data assets, and data conversion of IT projects
Establish, lead, and enforces ETL standards for documentation, development, and deployment
Mentor and guide Data Conversion Team in conducting application design tasks. Coordinate and delegate tasks as required.
Provide guidance and coaching to Data Conversion Lead on changes throughout design process
Aid in gathering requirements, conducting business analysis, and writing technical design specifications
Evaluate and design logical and physical databases; define logical views and physical data structures
Understand internal and external business requirements as it relates to the change initiative
Develop Data Conversion Strategy that accurately translates business requirements to technology and ensures the design will meet business requirements throughout the lifecycle of a change, this could include, but not limited to:
Design of multi-dimensional models including Data View, Dimensions and Cubes
Design of required interfaces for the data warehouse
Design and implementation of data loading (ETL) and publishing processes
Develops the ecosystem-wide guidelines and standards for cataloging and maintaining data repositories
Develops single source data and system of records strategy
Maintains ecosystem-wide integrity of the data model by ensuring that data design and transformation procedures are implemented and followed
Participates in the design of the information/data architecture, across multiple data types
Participates in the development of a usable information architecture, which may include a data model, associated metamodel, common business vocabulary, ontologies, and taxonomies, which will then be used to guide solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio
Responsible for analyzing and recommending efficiencies at the enterprise level for data collections, integrations, linkages, warehousing, and incorporating complex cross functional analytics and reporting
Identifies user requirements by researching and analyzing user needs, preferences, objectives, and working methods and studies how users consume content
Leads the design of the information/data architecture, across multiple data types
Oversees and Conducts data audits, cleansing and de-deduplication projects to clean data
Provides leadership in development of ETL processes for data migration and integration projects
Provides data governance leadership to manage and use data to its fullest
