∙ Maintains and updates analytical financial models tools and monitoring systems to forecast IT M&A project budgets. ∙ Prepares and presents requests to secure project funding (budget) approval from senior leadership in Corporate Development/IMO Technology Advancement Business and IT and Corporate Finance. ∙ Works with the IT M&A Deal Leads and the broader IT Finance team to monitor and adjust budgets as required. ∙ Develops tracks and reports on any transactional IT synergies. ∙ Performs the due diligence review and analysis of M&A related IT financials and IT contracts for risk issues and key business terms. ∙ Monitors and manages IT contracts through the integration process for key events (renewal merge etc.). ∙ Work closely with Enterprise Category Management/Procurement Services on IT contract analysis support and disposition and integration of vendors into Humana’s P2P processes. ∙ Support the IT M&A team on P2P requests. ∙ Manage negotiations on vendor support contracts to support the IT M&A due diligence processes. ∙ Supports multiple project due diligence efforts simultaneously.Description
The individual develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting. Creates reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Responsibilities
- Essentially a data scientist such as an individual who can analyze complex financial information. This role will be contracting as part of Humana's IT M&A Team. This role works with the IT M&A team and other IT stakeholders to collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information. The IT financial analysis is used by senior management to make strategic and operational decisions on, acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, or the sale of assets. This role analyzes the financial implications of proposed investments or other external transactions which involves financial modeling, reporting and budgeting, and IT contract review. Position is remote ideally east coast hours.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4 years technical experience
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting
- Experience in creating reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business
- Experience in using mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions
- Possesses an understanding of department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas
- Capable of making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
