Skills
Identifies creates and applies software development and security standards and practices. Plans designs and documents software components. Develops and operates end-to-end automated solutions for IT ops activities (including deployment release management monitoring etc.) Collaborates with Operations Development and QA functions to develop solutions that are predisposed to scalability and simplified maintenance. Configures and maintains on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure availability performance scalability and security of development testing and production environments relying on automated scripts and configuration management tools. Works closely with product and application teams to create version control branching strategy. Works cross-value streams with other DevOps Engineers to avoid and resolve merge conflicts. DevOps Engineers automate software builds, test and deployment systems, and infrastructure as code. DevOps Engineers manage various development, test, staging, and demo environments (code deployment using Continuous Improvement (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines, backups, data refreshes), as well as deploy and manage software into Costco’s production environment while leveraging as much automation as possible. They are responsible for continually advancing the technology in a collaborative and creative agile environment using many of the latest technologies and industry best practices and finding better and more efficient ways of delivering solutions that meet business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Write Terraform scripts to creates, and manages Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Maintains, extends and builds automated CI and CD pipelines.
- Extract, Transform and Load data by creating, and managing ADF pipelines.
- Migrate existing IICS pipelines into ADF pipeline
- Help establish connection between Microsoft Sustainability Manager (MS 365) and New Azure ADLS subscription.
- Deploy Azure data factory and SQL artifacts using CI/CD pipeline (ADO)
- Provision and deploy Azure resources (ADLS, ADF, AzureSQL, VNET, private endpoint connections) using Terraform
- Monitor, mitigate WIZ alerts and configure resources in the subscription for Data factory, ADLS, Azure SQL resources per network security guidelines.
Educational Requirements
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect (highly desirable)
- Additional Skills:Devops Tools,Azure Active Directory,Microsoft Azure
