DMS Software Engineer

DMS - foundational to the entire thing, you have to be able to store documents
Looking for managed vendors/SAS models for both DMS and form generation
DMS - very first thing that they have to do is help with the evaluation of the various DMS vendors they’re looking at, proof of concepts for 2-3 (integration work)
13 product verticals will utilize this system but they’re ALL going through Graphql
Implementing GraphQL APIs and resolvers, other groups will be responsible for the rest

Responsibilities

• The DMS Engineer will be responsible for integrating and customizing the Document Management System (DMS), focusing on the
• implementation of vendor solutions such as Square-9, Newgen, and Box. The role will involve working with vendor-provided configurable
• UIs, ensuring seamless integration with the GraphQL API, and optimizing document storage, retrieval, and security. Experience in evaluating
• and implementing DMS solutions is a key component of this role.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and customize the selected DMS vendor solution, working with platforms such as Square-9, Newgen, and Box.
• Integrate the DMS with the GraphQL API to enable seamless access to document management functionalities.
• Configure and optimize document storage, retrieval, and version control workflows, ensuring scalability and compliance with OMF’s data
• policies.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement role-based access controls (RBAC) via Okta, ensuring compliance with OMF’s security
• and compliance standards.
• Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to integrate the DMS with Exterro for legal hold functionality.
• Participate in the vendor evaluation and selection process, providing technical insights into system performance, scalability, and ease of
• integration.
• Perform system tuning and troubleshooting for document workflows, ensuring optimal performance.
• Maintain documentation for DMS configurations, integrations, and processes.
• Technical Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience with DMS Platforms: Hands-on experience with DMS platforms such as Square-9, Newgen, Box, or similar solutions.
• Integration with APIs: Strong experience integrating DMS systems with backend APIs, specifically using GraphQL for document
• storage, retrieval, and metadata operations.
• Security and Access Control: Knowledge of implementing role-based access (RBAC) using platforms such as Okta and ensuring
• compliance with industry standards for data security.
• Document Storage Optimization: Experience in optimizing document storage solutions for performance, scalability, and compliance,
• including metadata indexing and search optimization.
• Legal Hold Systems: Familiarity with legal hold systems such as Exterro and the ability to integrate and manage legal hold processes.
• Vendor Evaluation: Experience participating in vendor evaluations and providing feedback on technical fit, performance, and scalability.
• System Performance Tuning: Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize DMS performance for high availability and scalability.
• Document Workflow Management: Experience with document lifecycle management, including versioning, retention policies, and
• compliance requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience with vendor evaluation processes, particularly with DMS platforms such as Square-9, Newgen, or Box.
• Familiarity with cloud-based DMS solutions and the ability to implement scalable cloud-based document storage and retrieval systems.
• Understanding of legal and compliance requirements in the context of document management, including data retention, encryption, and audit trails
