Ticketmaster in Hollywood, CA is looking a Frontend Software Engineer to join the Marketplace EDP Software Engineering team. This team is responsible for the Events Detail Page (EDP) pipeline, which focuses on improving the user experience for millions of music and sports fans. As a Sr. Software Engineer, this individual will be expected to design and build new features for the client’s core marketplace products. They will be a JavaScript expert while utilizing the Node.js framework and React library to successfully launch features for consumer-facing applications. They will create end-to-end solutions, create and modify new interactive features for the Ticketmaster website with a focus on Discovery and Events. They will have the opportunity to work on Ticketmaster’s next generation e-commerce platform building a performant responsive website touching hundreds of millions of fans across the globe.
Responsibilities
- 4+ years of professional JavaScript front end development experience; mastery of ES6+ JavaScript features/CSS
- Experience building modern Node.js and React applications using the Flux paradigm
- Strong understanding of Redux and Redux Sagas or Thunk
- Experience working in an AWS cloud environment; ability to develop, integrate, test, and deploying code to run on cloud infrastructure
- Kubernetes through Helm and to AWS through Terraform
- Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests (Jest, Mocha, Chai, Cucumber, etc.)
- Expertise with performance optimization and Webpack tuning with Babel
- Knowledge of one or more database products (e.g. DynamoDB, Mongo, Oracle, MySQL)
- Proficiency in data structures and algorithm design
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote team members
