The purpose of this project is to implement the IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) in a hosted SaaS environment to provide inventory visibility, pre-purchase promising, and order fulfillment orchestration capabilities. The overall objectives are to reduce online order cancellations, increase online sales, and reduce online order fulfillment shipping costs.
A parallel effort to rearchitect and streamline inventory event processing and improve Available to Sell (ATS) will be happening along with the OMS effort, and the two workstreams will be managed together given their dependencies.
The project will be completed in multiple phases including:
• ATS Transformation
• Inventory Visibility
• Pre-Purchase Promising
• Order Management
• Optimization, Call Center
• Endless Aisle
