Description

Participates in period planning and creating iteration plans as well as objectives.
Develops and commits to team period objectives and goals.
Conducts research, design, prototyping, and other exploration activities to support dev/prep phase.
Collaborates with the Kroger Product Manager to create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
Participates in design. Reviews design strategy with Consultant Technical Lead.
Leverages paired programming to write code and automated acceptance test cases.
Works with the Kroger Product Manager to confirm that the code and acceptance tests reflect the desired functionality, writing the code must.
Adheres to Kroger standards regarding code quality and uses design and coding best practices to build high-quality components and services.
Participates in code reviews.
Follows defined branching strategies. Checks new code into the shared source code repository meeting branching guideline requirements.
Collaborates with Consultants’ Quality Assurance on test case creation.
Performs continuous improvement of the team’s process and themselves embracing coaching and mentoring from their Consultant Technical Lead

Responsibilities
  • • Lead and participate in the design and implementation of large and/or architecturally significant applications.
  • • Champion company standards and best practices. Work to continuously improve software delivery processes and practices.
  • • Develop programming specifications. Design, code and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
  • • Work with Product team to plan new features, gather requirements and propose solutions.
  • • Acquire and interpret business requirements, creates a functional specification, and determines the most efficient/appropriate technologies.
  • • Research and implement new interface development techniques.
  • • Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
  • • Ability to work with new technologies while showing drive, adaptability, and creative thinking.
  • • Establish development best practices and growth of mobile applications standards.
  • • Help foster a culture of innovation and out-of-the box thinking.
  • • Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies
  • • Assist other folks on assignments including mentoring or providing on-the-job training to more junior associates
