Description
This is a key position responsible for leading the team responsible for providing solutions, technology and implementation expertise in Enterprise infrastructure upgrades, network migration and cloud migration. In addition, also work with enterprise architecture re-design and streamlining existing solutions.
• Development of business cases for key infrastructure upgrades and new investments
• Analyze the customer issues in the existing infrastructure and propose solutions to fix them.
• Propose alternatives to existing solutions that will lead to better performance, useful new features, and easier maintenance.’ Evaluate, determine, understand and translate business demand into architectural requirements.
• Research, design and implement security solutions for network infrastructure.
• Engineer network solutions for new & existing systems.
• Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives for the department.
• Work with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
• Challenge with working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions.
• Management of key transformation projects that improve technology standardization across multiple business units and drive down operating costs.
• Collaborates with IT Security team to ensure security recommendations are implemented timely.
• Ensures all network and infrastructure activities are completed according to existing standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Management Information Systems or relevant discipline is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a multidiscipline environment is required.
- • Deep knowledge of HPE Nimble Storage, Cisco and Meraki Networking, HPE and Dell Servers (stand alone and converged), Firewall infrastructure hardware.
- • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Server Software, Linux, VMWare and other server technologies.
- • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and other cloud-based technologies.
- • Deep understanding of security and interconnection with infrastructure is required.
- • Proven experience in systems design and development, and with infrastructure technology, including infrastructure monitoring, performance management, and capacity solutions.
- • Knowledge of GxP and FDA regulations preferred.
- • Strong inter-personal, communication and negotiation skills (both oral and written) are required.
- • Ability to work effectively in diverse cross-disciplinary teams.
- • Must provide exemplary customer service, people and management skills.
- • Must demonstrate excellent skills in areas of leadership, teamwork, planning/scheduling, problem analysis/resolution and document management are required.
- • Must be able to adhere to strict project timelines and budgets, and to advise teams and management of impacts and changes to project timelines resources and budgets.
