Proficiency in installing and configuring security software on servers (e.g. Genetec Lenel Omnicast Synergis). Extensive knowledge of configuring security access control CCTV and intrusion systems. Certifications & Skills: Genetec certifications (preferred). Familiarity with compliance best practices and agile methodologies (preferred). Strong ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams. Proven adaptability to evolving priorities and requirements.

Description

TJX is seeking a Senior IT Security Engineer to join its Loss Prevention IT team, focusing on Genetec applications. This position involves the analysis, configuration, and deployment of advanced security solutions across the organization’s expanding global operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent multitasking abilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset while keeping abreast of industry trends and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Access Control & CCTV Implementation
• Design and implement new security systems, recommending suitable hardware and software.
• Program and configure access control and CCTV systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Integrate cameras and access control systems into Genetec security software.
• Security Systems Installation
• Install and configure electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and electronic locks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with new installations to ensure optimal performance.
• Server & Virtual Machine Management
• Design, implement, and manage virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud-based solutions).
• Ensure the availability, security, and performance of server infrastructure.
• Networking Expertise
• Apply networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures.
• Client Support & Customization
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored security solutions.
• Deliver technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
• Technology Trends & Documentation
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in security technology.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, programming, and configurations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Analyze proposed software or hardware changes and assess their impact.
• Work with IT teams to address challenges in the field and propose solutions.
• Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and end-to-end testing processes.
