Skills
· 2+ years of AWS migration experience (migrating applications from on-prem to AWS). · Strong expertise in Java (Java 8+ Spring Boot). · Hands-on experience with AWS native services (SQS DynamoDB Aurora etc.). · Proven ability to design and implement cloud-native solutions and guide teams through migration challenges. · Experience with AWS architecture including setting up and deploying applications and managing cloud infrastructure. · Familiar with FinTech applications and cloud migrations. Preferred Skills: · Experience with Oracle to Aurora migration. · Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven programming. · Familiarity with Kafka (though AWS-native solutions like SQS are preferred). · Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Description
Early Warning Services is seeking a Senior Java Developer with AWS expertise to lead the migration of applications from on-prem to the AWS cloud. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in AWS migration and a strong Java background. You will collaborate with Zelle experts and provide hands-on guidance for AWS-native app development, contributing to the migration process and building scalable solutions on AWS.
Responsibilities
- · Lead migration of on-prem applications to AWS, focusing on native AWS services like SQS, Aurora, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- · Design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications on AWS.
- · Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate cloud strategies.
- · Collaborate with teams to establish AWS best practices, architecture, and deployment strategies.
- · Mentor and provide AWS expertise to the existing Zelle engineering team.
- · Support infrastructure setup, observability, and network configuration in AWS.
