We are seeking a skilled Middleware Engineer to join our team and work with our insurance client to design, implement, and maintain middleware solutions that support critical business operations. As a Middleware Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless integration between various applications and systems within the insurance domain.

Responsibilities

• Performance Optimization:
• Monitor and analyze middleware performance to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Implement performance tuning and optimization techniques to enhance the efficiency and scalability of middleware solutions.
• Documentation and Best Practices:
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for middleware configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Establish and enforce standards and best practices for middleware development and deployment.
• Project Collaboration:
• Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet project goals and timelines.
• Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise to ensure successful project delivery.
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure that middleware solutions adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements specific to the insurance sector.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Middleware Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere, Red Hat JBoss, or Microsoft BizTalk.
• Experience with integration tools and technologies (e.g., ESB, SOA, RESTful APIs).
• Familiarity with insurance industry-specific systems and processes is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) and familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred Skills:
• Certification in relevant middleware technologies or platforms.
• Experience with cloud-based middleware solutions and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
