Work with a close-knit team to identify trends bugs and escalate priority issues that need immediate attention Influence key Go/No Go decisions on product readiness Perform thorough regression testing of existing applications before major releases Be the champion of quality in every phase of the development process Perform API level testing have good knowledge of sniffers and POSTMAN or equivalent Own and drive software quality assurance lifecycle as part of SCRUM/Agile processes and deliver high-quality releases on time Actively participate in agile meetings with product and program management and engineering Interact with business product managers to clarify requirements and drive projects to ensure on-time completion Ensure comprehensive test coverage by filing extensive bugs defects and improvements and verifying their fixes Work closely with Product Managers to design and implement detailed and well[1]structured test plans and test procedures Inform Product Managers in a timely and clear manner regarding progress on tasks and of issues needing immediate remediation or escalation Proactive attitude and a willingness to “go the extra mile” to get the job done in excellence Assume ownership for deliverables accepts direction and feedback from co-workers and manager Highly flexible attitude and ability to quickly shift gears with multiple and shifting priorities and differing levels of ambiguity Proactively participate in maintaining team standards and best practices Maintain high responsiveness and excellent cross-team collaborationDescription
Peet’s Coffee is looking for a Senior Mobile Quality Engineer to join their Digital Products team. You will have a huge impact on the quality of Peet’s growing suite of digital products and
services (including our mobile apps, web, and back-end services) by acting as a champion of quality engineering and testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
(SDLC). You will leverage your knowledge of automated and manual software testing to influence better designs, promote best practices, bug prevention strategies, testability, and other
advanced quality concepts across products.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or a minimum of 3
- years of equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with mobile native application
- Knowledge of iOS and Android operating systems
- Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, and automation testing
- Mobile back-end API testing experience
- Passion for defining and improving QA practices for mobile technologies
- Disciplined approach to testing and documentation
- Ability to define and document best practices and standards
- Experience with defect reporting and escalation procedures to Senior Management
- Responsible for review and oversight of testing done by the external partner teams
- (offshore and vendors)
- Must have delivered a functioning mobile application
- Experience in test automation and scripting – an advantage
- Strong organization, collaboration, and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Team-player attitude and the ability to work in a multi-tasking, cross-collaborative fast[1]paced environment; driving other people for the common goal
- Must be able to identify and learn new technologies quickly
- Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Quality Tools (Quality Center, Perfecto Mobile, Jira, Firebase, Rally,
- Charles Proxy)
- Knowledge of Test Management Tools (Test Manager, TestRail)
- Experience with .NET, XML and JSON web services
- Experience working on agile teams
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, DB2)
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development principles and tools for mobile
- Use git and GitHub to manage and share source code
- Experience in mobile commerce, e-commerce, point of sale systems, digital marketing,
- and/or loyalty is valued
- Experience with performance, load, spike, stress, and stability testing is an added bonus
