Description

At this time the role is more application monitoring than network monitoring, but candidates with both are who we want.
APM is the tool they use now. CA and Broadcom at some point merged or one acquired the other, so those are the companies that own the tool.
CA Application Performance Management (CA APM) is now called DX APM. CA APM is now part of Broadcom’s software portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Must have experience developing application alerts, dashboards utilizing Dynatrace, CA APM/Broadcom APM
• Scripting experience with scripting languages using Groovy, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Linux/Unix shell scripting, and other programming languages
• Great communication (written and oral), presentation development, quick learning, self-motivated and independent
• Experience with visualization, and diagramming of applications

Educational Requirements

• Performance analysis, operation support and tuning experience for monitoring applications
• Windows or Linux administration
• Experience with monitoring needs for on-prem/cloud network infrastructure,
• Experience with automation, visualization, and diagramming applications
• Experience in integration of applications and application data
• Good understanding of management process frameworks, such as ITIL
• Monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor Network Performance and Network Configuration Manager, NetFlow and Spectrum
• Experience monitoring in Azure environment
• SNMPv3, v2c configuration and trap expertise
• TCP and other network protocols (BGP routing and other routing protocols) knowledge
