.NET / Angular Engineer

Description

- The role requires an in-depth knowledge of front end technologies like Angular as well as backend like .NET.

- The unique selling point is that the person in this role will also be tasked with cloud migration of the application.

What type of development will this contractor be doing? (Back end, front end, full stack?) and what will they be responsible for developing?

- This contractor is expected to do full stack development. They will be responsible for the Angular front end components and back end .NET components.

What type of application will they be developing? Will this contractor primarily be working on new development or maintaining the current environment?

- The application is absence management web application. The contractor will be responsible for new enhancements as well as bug fixes. If capable, they may be asked to assist with the cloud migration efforts for the same application.

Will this contractor be testing the application/software they are developing?

- The developer in this role is not expected to test the work they are developing but they are required to include unit tests during development.

What programming languages do you want this contractor to have experience with? (How many years of experience with each language)

- Angular (3+ years)

- .NET (2+ years)

- SQL (2+ years)

- Cloud technologies preferred (AWS)

What other tools or technologies do you want this contractor to have experience with/how will they be interacting with these tools in this role?

- Git/GitHub (used for version control)

- Jenkins (used for CI/CD, code build)

- uDeploy (used for CI/CD, code deployment)

- SonarQube (used for code quality, preferred)

What type of background should this contractor have in order to meet the needs of your team? Do they need to hold a specific degree or certification?

- Bachelor’s degree required.

- Master’s degree preferred. Relevant work experience can be used.

- Cloud certifications like AWS Solutions Architect or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

• 3+ years of experience in application software solution development required
• Hands on experience with using Angular 16 or newer required
• Hands-on experience with .NET & .NET Core
• Experience with Web Services (SOAP and Rest).
• Experience with writing and using APIs.
• Experience with containerization and experience in cloud infrastructure environments like Open Shift AWS.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server relational database technologies. Knowledge of open-source database technologies is beneficial.
• Experience with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, preferred tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Rally, SonarQube etc.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS), SaaS, and open-source frameworks is helpful.
• Scripting language such as Python is helpful.
• Experience with .NET.
• Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code for all backend components.
• Contribute to the code base and ensure code and processes adhere to clean code practices and industry best practices.
• Experience working in an Agile or SAFe development environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
