• Writing implementing and analyzing code and data. • Testing and evaluation of new programs. • Support of existing applications / systems and development of new applications. • Data extraction and reporting. • Process mapping. • Specification gathering. • Troubleshooting application issues as they arise. • Research new products / methods of development. • Support and maintain the MESA (shop floor production) system. • Recommend solutions to automate existing processes. • Mentor junior team members • Integration of 3rd party products into existing systems • Perform other duties as assigned.Description
Member of the IT Applications Team. Supports operations and office staff through the development/maintenance of reliable information systems that allow users to access data quickly and easily as well as interpret the data to make informed decisions. Develop new web, desktop, and service applications in a primarily Microsoft Windows environment to support business and manufacturing requirements. Candidates must be willing to learn additional skills/languages to support legacy systems and new technologies.
Responsibilities
- • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming in the .NET framework – preferably in VB or C#
- • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- • Strong knowledge of ASP web applications, HTML, and CSS
- • Experience with Javascript or other client side scripting language
- • Experience working with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports
- • Experience with legacy VB6 technology
- • Experience working with 3rd party API’s
- • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Educational Requirements
- • Office environment.

- environment.
