30% Responsible for effective planning design provisioning installation configuration operation and maintenance of network hardware and software and related infrastructure in a complex matrixed Enterprise and OT environment. 50% Install new / rebuild existing networks and configure hardware peripherals services settings directories encryption etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. Contribute to and maintain system standards and documentation. Manage small medium and large scale projects from conception to completion including timeline internal/external resources and budget. Provide technical leadership and expertise acting as a SME and internal consultant to peers less experienced Engineers Vendors and to the business. 20% Research and recommend innovative and where possible automated approaches for network administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage resources and provide economies of scale. Provide training to peers less experienced Engineers Vendors and to the business. Other responsibilities.Description
Provide effective planning, design, provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of network hardware and software and related infrastructure in a complex matrixed Enterprise and OT environment.
Perform technical research to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
Ensure that network hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards.
Maintain and configure existing network in a manner that results in a fast, stable and secure environment.
Conduct daily work in compliance with Colonial’s safety policies and procedures.
Follows change management and change notification procedures.
Demonstrate Colonial’s RAISE core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
Responsibilities
- Layer 1 knowledge including Bill of Material creation, rack, stack, cable and label capabilities, and infrastructure upgrade experience.
- Layer 3 knowledge including BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, and SDWAN
- Knowledge of Licensing and Cisco Smart Software Manager
- Knowledge of Cisco Firewall Management Console
