We want solid experienced profile where candidate should be Expert in Cloud, Networking, Palo alto, Transit gateway, Terraform, Cisco Certified, AWS and Azure, Routing and Switching experience with (BGP, EIGRP,OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP, MPLS VoIP, SIP, VPLS, QoS, Firewalls, SDN, SDA, and Cisco DNA)
(If candidate is already Cloud architect, Team lead, networking manager then they will be suitable for this role.)
The Network Engineering Assistant Manager will have the right Technical and Leadership aptitude to coach and lead by example. Will participate in and execute technical implementations alongside a technical team.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and strategy in evaluating and implementing new technologies that enhances Discount Tire’s Network Infrastructure environments
- Consults with multiple stakeholders to collaboratively define and improve IT Network Engineering best practices.
- Assist Network Manager with tracking assigned project to ensure projects are within budget and timelines are adjusted as needed.
- Works closely with enterprise security to ensure security requirements are fully integrated into IT Network strategies, designs and implementations
- Lead the design and development of monitoring, reporting, and analytics focused on ensuring resiliency and proactive alerting for Network Monitoring.
- Other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
- This position requires a minimum of 8 years experience leading highly technical teams in developing network strategies, network project designs, and producing documentation for operation transition.
- Experience in managing and leading teams. Proven ability to provide a high degree of planning, execution and outcome is required.
- Strong analytical and financial skills are required including, ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have demonstrated leadership ability, business acumen, and industry knowledge.
- SDN and SD-WAN Network experience
- Routing and Switching experience with BGP, EIGRP,OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP, MPLS VoIP, SIP, VPLS, QoS, Firewalls, SDN, SDA, and Cisco DNA
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is needed.
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas both verbally and in writing is necessary.
- Excellent analytical, planning and negotiation skills are needed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the expert ability to develop strong relationships with key members of both internal and vendor teams.
- Demonstrated business acumen with an expert knowledge and understanding of business issues, priorities, goals, and strategy is necessary.
- Must be highly organized, extremely detail oriented with strong leadership experience.
- Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values is a key attribute.
