Description
We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to help in the design engineering of our migration to Kubernetes, specifically focusing on the OpenShift platform. This role will be critical in enhancing our cloud-native capabilities and ensuring robust, scalable, and secure application deployments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define standards, execute POC’s, integrate with our CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools such as UrbanCode Deploy, Harness, Jenkins, Artifactory, and HashiCorp products.
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of our migration strategy to Kubernetes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
- Integration with CI/CD delivery pipelines using UrbanCode, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Harness.
- Maintain a scalable, reliable, and secure OpenShift platform, addressing performance, availability, and security challenges.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to understand requirements and deliver platform solutions that meet their needs.
- Implement automation for deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications on Kubernetes, leveraging tools such as HashiCorp Terraform and Vault.
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively manage platform health, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Create and maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and best practices related to the Kubernetes platform.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams in adopting Kubernetes best practices and utilizing the Kubernetes platform effectively.
