• Python experience nice to have but SQL experience is required. Must have technical skills and understand how data flows. • 5-6 years with SQL • Business Analysis • Data Analysis • Testing Soft Skills: • Communication skills: Candidate needs to be able to communicate internally and with external stakeholders. Be able to ask questions if they do not understand. Proactive. Self-managed and self-motivated. Curious. Data detective. • Data Warehouse • Experience working with Big Data (e.g. Hadoop Kafka Spark Cassandra) Spotlight Call Notes: • Remote indefinitely. Must be able to work MT schedule (core hours 9am-3pm with some flexibility) • Fairly small team. Goal is to get someone in that understands data SQL test queries understand reporting needs. Candidates need to understand how to do the analysis and how to test the data. See the patterns and pick out things that do not make sense. • Probably not temp-to-hire but it is not off the table. There is a possibility this will extend after 1 year. Not a huge project. • If candidates have banking that would great but not required. More of a data analyst type role.Description
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, specifically with Exadata systems.
Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Exadata Migration Efforts:
- Lead and execute Exadata migration projects, ensuring smooth transition of databases to Exadata infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, test, and execute migration strategies.
- Active Data Guard (ADG) Configuration:
- Configure and maintain Active Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Monitor ADG performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Conduct switchover processes and failover procedures.
- Cluster Configuration and Maintenance:
- Set up and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) for scalability and load balancing.
- Perform RAC multi-node administration tasks, including node addition/removal and load balancing.
- Ensure cluster stability and optimal performance.
- Oracle Linux Administration:
- Administer Oracle databases on Linux operating systems.
- Handle Linux-specific tasks related to database management.
- Implement security measures and best practices.
- Oracle Multitenant Database Administration:
- Manage Oracle Multitenant databases, including container databases (CDBs) and pluggable databases (PDBs).
- Create, maintain, and allocate resources for PDBs.
- Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
