Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience. 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or IT with 3+ years focused on Privileged Access Management (PAM). Experience managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies. Hands-on experience with enterprise-level Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools. Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science Information Security or related field. Experience with BeyondTrust Password Safe and Powerbroker for Windows. Knowledge of PAM processes: onboarding account management password rotation policy configuration. Strong expertise in Windows Servers & Workstations. Familiarity with SSH key management. Proficiency in Active Directory LDAP directories MFA (e.g. RSA SecurID) and PKI. Understanding of Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC). Ability to reverse engineer configurations for troubleshooting. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong documentation skills for diagrams business cases and policies. Ability to work independently and within a team. Security-focused mindset with an understanding of SOX compliance and risk assessment.Description
The Cybersecurity Services department is responsible for securing PG&E’s network, systems, and data.
The team operates and maintains PG&E’s privileged access and security technology infrastructure, ensuring the safe and reliable function of cyber security tools.
The department supports projects through the full software life cycle, ensuring operational requirements are met.
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team manages identity lifecycle, authentication, and role-based access to PG&E systems.
Position Summary
PG&E seeks an Expert IT Security Product Specialist to support its privileged access and password management tools. The candidate will provide project consultation, solution deliverables, product documentation, and operational support for Cybersecurity-managed technologies. Responsibilities include vendor management, ensuring compliance with maintenance contracts and licenses, and technical oversight of BeyondTrust Password Safe.
Responsibilities
- Product Management & Operations: Administer and support BeyondTrust Password Safe.
- IT Product Analysis: Collaborate with planning teams to align technical and business strategies.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from implementation to retirement.
- Solution Design: Translate business and technical requirements into detailed solution designs.
- Capacity Planning: Manage enterprise-wide technical capacity and vendor relationships.
- Operational Support: Work with BMC Remedy for incidents, work orders, and change control.
- On-Call Support: Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Vendor Technical Liaison: Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and incident management.
- Documentation: Develop strategies, standards, roadmaps, reports, and process manuals.
