Skills
1. Experience with Load In Performance Testing 2. Cloud and Microservices based testing (MQTT and Message Queues familiarity) 3. Experience looking at an entire ecosystem to test understanding how to manage it holistically (vs. just working with 1 API) and give a system level view of how to improveDescription
* This person is going to be owning load in performance testing for their MyQ app environment (10 million users, 10,000 connected devices total)
* Their entire pipeline is setup using Azure Devops and will be working in this
* Will need to be able to look at the entire landscape of the system and not just focus in on one specific API, the system view of testing is very important here
* Knowing how to architect a load & performance solution to mimic a real environment for tests.
* This is not a DevOps role and they have to be familiar with basics of Kubernetes and fundamentals of microservices is going to be helpful here too.
Load in performance definition: a piece of the performance testing to make sure it's performing correctly. It's used to test scalability but the system has to be working well in pre production and post production and working like the production. Their pre-production is 1/3 of standard production. The system level view is important - someone who has looked at this and done this before needs to understand a high level system, not just one piece.
Responsibilities
- * 4-5 Years of experience of load management testing in the cloud and iOT experience. (WILL BE FLEX HERE)
- * Someone who can take a system view, but not an architect and let them know of why they are doing these things.
- * Someone who is familiar with load performance and management,
- * Familiar with microservices and top of that someone can bring in a system view. Looking at their whole ecosystem and environment.
- * Has to be very savvy in IoT and cloud experience
- * Kubernetes, Architecture, ADO
- * Familiar with MQTT and messages Ques
- * Knowledge of Azure as a back-end platform
- * Someone who has dealt with a few million people in their environment. It has to be cloud and performance-based testing (understand the system and make sure they have no disruptions) on their IoT platform.
- * 3 top requirements: load in testing, performance testing in cloud environment, and strong familiarity with MQTT & message queues
- * Performance testing in the cloud for IoT platform
- * Person doing the role onsite left, needs to be filled
- * Team was mostly offshore, leads from eastern europe. Need support onsite during local biz hours
- * Can do 3 days/week onsite once ramped up the first couple months, but that’s the minimum.
- * 4-5 YoE on load & performance testing within the cloud
- * Around 10M+ users in the cloud for their MyQ app
- * Familiar with working on API tests as well as the whole ecosystem
- * Knowing how to architect a load & performance solution to mimic real environment for tests
- * Able to get a system level view on how they handle things in their environment
- * Kubernetes (familiar with, not high level engineering), grafana, microservices, architecture, jmeter, java
- * Azure DevOps
- * Load & perform: scalability/breaking point, set up a similar environment in pre-production to test different traffic scales for reliability. Let production team know estimated results to plan accordingly.
- * In the Exp of what they’re testing must be cloud and rely on microservices. Not mandatory to be IoT
- * MQTT messaging platform – need to have familiarity with since that is how they connect things in their platform.
