Power BI Developer

Description

Develop and maintain interactive PowerBI dashboards and reports by integrating data from AWS observability metrics, Bedrock (including reference key IDs), SQL databases, and S3
Design and build effective PowerBI dashboards to provide clear insights into key operational metrics and performance indicators; Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and actionable
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for reporting purposes; Manage and integrate data stored in S3 for use in PowerBI dashboards
Implement and manage integrations between PowerBI and various tools such as JIRA. Ensure seamless data flow and accurate reporting
Facilitate the integration of Excel data into PowerBI; Develop processes to automate data imports and ensure data consistency
Optimize PowerBI reports and dashboards for performance and usability; Ensure that visualizations are efficient and meet the needs of the business
Work with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and provide support in interpreting data; Address and resolve issues related to data accuracy and dashboard functionality
Provide training to end-users on new PowerBI dashboards and report functionalities; Develop and maintain documentation for reporting processes and dashboards
Ensure data handling complies with relevant regulations and industry standards; Implement and manage data security measures to protect sensitive information

Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a PowerBI Developer or similar role
• Proficiency in PowerBI, including Power Query, DAX, and PowerBI Service; Experience with SQL and data modeling is essential; Familiarity with AWS observability metrics, Bedrock, and S3 is highly desirable
• Experience with PowerBI integrations, including JIRA and Excel to PowerBI integration
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from various sources and develop meaningful insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing data and reporting challenges
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and support stakeholder needs
