Responsible for the product vision and guiding product development based on a deep understanding of business needs. Manages business stakeholder expectations for the duration of the engagement. Through workshop facilitation understand user needs and translate them into detailed requirements for the squad. Build use cases writes manage and clarify user stories visualization and process flows. Ensures development work is aligned with the overall business strategy. Track metrics and build reports to measure progress Direct and/or help manage dependencies with other squads’ working closely with squad PO peer PO’s and the Product Manager Apply compliance requirements within the scope of responsibility ensuring SDLC documentation system configuration and compliance activities are up to date as required Support and/or facilitate system demos via inspect and adapt workshops as needed Stay 2-3 sprints ahead of the squad and ensure each feature has a clear definition of done; ensure each feature level deliverable is aligned to a definition of readiness to enter a sprint User Stories meet the Definition of Ready (DOR) by the required deadlines All necessary work drivers are accounted for during the User Story estimation All Acceptance Criteria are testable and comprehensive to ensure that business needs are met. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner who will take ownership of our product portfolio, ensuring its successful management and development from inception to deployment. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities to engage stakeholders and technical teams effectively, and a strategic mindset to prioritize and deliver solutions aligned with our architectural goals.
Responsibilities
- Strong Agile Business Analyst skills; user story SME, owns backlog prioritization
- Supply Chain / Quality / Compliance knowledge
- MUST be familiar with BDD Framework
- Attention to detail and a process-focused mindset
- Critical thinking, and ability to ask "the hard questions" to stakeholders
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders with conflicting priorities
- Ability to create technical workflows - Candidate should be proficient in creating easily digestible representations that show how information moves through systems
Educational Requirements
- Own and manage the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with architectural solutions and business objectives.
- Lead the product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize backlog, and balance the value of the product with technical feasibility.
- Establish and maintain a clear communication channel between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Advocate for the product vision and strategy, championing innovative solutions and pushing back on technical constraints when necessary.
- Develop and implement frameworks and processes for efficient product deployment and lifecycle management.
- Take proactive measures to manage risks, issues, and changes effectively, ensuring project delivery remains on track.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the project team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
