About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our global team, based in Elkton, Maryland, and contribute to Performance Solution Division’s Change & Project Management Organization (CPMO).
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the projects critical to the Divisional Operating Plan so that the project is delivered on time, within forecast, and meets quality standards.
The successful candidate will utilize best practice Project Management methodologies to effectively manage large, difficult, and sometime complex projects, that are contributing to the execution of a Divisional CPMO Program.
This individual will be proficient in working in remote and global environments, model effective ways to work, team and facilitate virtually, and be a fast learner of Gore culture. This commitment is home office based, working with Associates primarily in the US Eastern Cluster (Newark, DE/Elkton/MD) and in Japan.
Responsibilities
- - Minimum 5 years experience in formal Project Management positions (looking for 5-10 years experience)
- - Must have at least 5 years of Global Org Design experience
- - Minimum 3 years experience working with Engineering or Technical teams
- - Demonstrated ability to work with global and virtual cross-functional project teams
- - Proficient with MS Project and MS Office
- - Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and competing priorities and projects
- - Demonstrated ability to lead a project team through scope development and to drive decision making
- - Ability to lead through ambiguity and influence without authority throughout all phases of the project life cycle
- - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- - Flexible core working hours to meet the need of global project teams located in Japan, US East, and Germany
- - Proficient in managing stakeholders at varying levels of maturity to influence and deliver business outcomes
