We are Bloomberg Billing Engineering Team. We are responsible for generating accurate customer invoices on time. Bloomberg's clients consume multiple kinds of data (heavy volume) on BB Terminal and Products team rely on our team to produce and issue accurate invoices to our customers.
We have a new Metered Billing system to perform our consumption-based billing. This system currently exposes a REST API that allows product teams to submit data. Once data is fed to us, we enrich and process it by calling external APIs to achieve the appropriate billing outcomes.
As we are onboarding new products, the system needs to be extended to meet new business requirements. The system is developed in Python on Linux with a Postgres backend.
Responsibilities
- Experience with Python Programming Language
- Good understanding of REST architecture and experienced on developing REST based applications
- Good understanding of object-oriented design
- Experience using source control tools such as git
- Experience working with LINUX/UNIX
- Strong communication skills
- It would be nice if you also have:
- Working experience of RabbitMQ , KAFKA
- React UI experience
