Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required. • 5+ Years’ experience delivering automotive electronics solutions to production with a focus on Engineering Quality Assurance • 7+ Years’ experience in automotive electronics product development preferably in Embedded Software Electronics Mechatronics Vehicle Dynamics and Safety. • Working knowledge of engineering problem-solving methodologies including lessons learned. (i.e. Six Sigma Ishikawa 8D 3x5 why) • Working experience driving engineering development processes for electronics products (i.e. ASPICE ISO26262 CMMI) • ASPICE Provisional Assessor training and certification desired

This position is a direct report to the Engineering Quality Assurance Manager, Electronics & ADAS Division. This is a global position, responsible for leading engineering quality activities for assigned projects worldwide across all Electronics Division product lines.
The purpose of this position is to ensure perfect engineering quality of all deliverables to global customers as committed. This individual will not only lead engineering work product quality checks, but he/she will also be responsible to review and approve all engineering work products/releases being delivered to global OEMs.

Responsibilities
  • • Primary Engineering Quality Interface with OEM customers
  • • Ensure engineering process compliance within OEM projects
  • • Supporting engineering quality relationship with OEM customers and developing action plans
  • • Drive engineering quality within assigned projects
  • • Ensure perfect quality of engineering work products within assigned projects
  • • Review and approve engineering work product and releases
  • • Coach and support engineering problem solving methodologies including quality of problem resolution. Including reviewing and coaching 3x5 Why results.
  • • Support continuous improvement of engineering activities
  • • Support the develop of an engineering quality mindset and culture across Division U organization
  • • Support engineering quality improvement projects
  • • Oversees engineering quality assurance in assigned projects
  • o Engineering Quality Assurance activities definition and Gate Reviews
  • o Engineering Work Product Reviews
  • o Engineering Process Adherence Checks
  • • Confirms project engineering work product quality maturity levels through frequent metrics monitoring, generates reports, and works with the project teams to perform engineering risk assessments and develop recovery action plans.
  • • Monitors daily work and outputs of the project team to recommend and drive improvements within assigned projects.
  • • Coaches, mentors, and supports the development of department EQAs globally
  • • Confirms engineering product release requirements are satisfied and stops deliveries if quality and safety objectives are compromised.
  • • Supports/ Leads Change Impact Analysis approaches in the project and ensures DRBFM compliance if applicable
  • • Ensures the proper usage of engineering problem-solving methodologies in the project resulting in high quality countermeasure / corrective action output.
  • • Escalates engineering quality risks that are not addressed within the projects team
  • • Supports project level preparation for internal/external audits. Responsible to ensure project readiness. (i.e. ASPICE / IATF)
  • • Serves as the primary customer contact for engineering quality related matters for assigned projects as related to engineering documentation, tools, processes, etc.
  • • Other duties as assigned
