React Native Mobile Engineer

Description

1) Must have experience building numerous mobile apps from scratch using React native
- Specifically in iOS to start. Any experience with Android as well will be nice to have but not mandatory

2) Must have experience with APIs- knows how to call them. Any .Net experience would be great as well since the APIs are in .Net

3) Excellent communication skills- previous experience and ability to communicate with business stakeholders

Responsibilities

• FINRA has an existing web application called Web DR (used for Dispute Resolution). This application is used by arbitrators/lawyers who are helping track cases and changes as a case moves through arbitration. It was built 10+ years ago and is a .net MVC application that wasn’t built with responsive design in mind originally. FINRA first thought they wanted to rebuild the application to make it responsive but has now changed their mind. The business wants a mobile app instead. FINRA does not have a mobile team in place already and does not have any in house expertise on how to get a mobile app made and through approvals on the Apple Store.
• They are looking for an experienced/senior iOS engineer to help build a mobile app using react native. They are looking to start with Apple first and then will likely move to android. Would be great to have someone who has experience with both of those. There will be a mobile UX designer to help with the design phase of building the application. FINRA knows that the process to get approved on the Apple store can be quite challenging and they’d like someone who already understands their guidelines so they can get their app approved quickly
