We are currently seeking a talented Release Train Engineer for a contract role with one of our esteemed clients in Washington, D.C. As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will play a crucial role in facilitating and optimizing the Program Increment (PI) Planning process and supporting the Agile Release Train (ART) throughout its execution. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
PI Planning Facilitation:
Facilitate the PI Planning process, ensuring smooth logistics and readiness of ART backlog.
Guide the ART in prioritization techniques such as WSJF (Weighted Shortest Job First).
Lead the 2-day in-person PI planning event to set clear objectives and alignment with enterprise strategy and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
Responsibilities
- Optimize Flow:
- Establish pull systems and flow measures to optimize the delivery of value.
- Conduct value stream mapping and work towards reducing cross-team dependencies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through AgileHealth assessments and Inspect & Adapt events.
- Promote Built-in Quality:
- Promote quality practices in collaboration with Product Owners and Communities of Practice.
- Facilitate SAFe core competency self-assessments and collaborate with Lean-Agile transformation teams.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with the Value Management Office and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Foster an environment of mutual influence, problem identification, and decision-making support.
- Encourage personal development and growth among team members.
