Headquartered in Chicago, USG serves construction markets around the world with wall, ceiling, flooring, sheathing and roofing products that enable their customers to build the outstanding spaces where people live, work and play.
Their Salesforce team is looking to add a part-time resources (20 hours or less a week) to help assist with development work. They are looking for someone will support development work with Commerce Classic/Cloud Craze. This position can be 100% remote and we will work through availability of the individual. The manager is ok with most of the work being completed off hours, but there may be a weekly meeting during the day they'd be asked to attend. The manager is open to being flexible.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes, designs, and develops new applications and application enhancements according to business specifications and technical design
- Maintains existing systems by identifying and correcting production problems
- Develops program specifications for system performance improvements
- Collaborates closely with others in the development of program and system specifications, ensuring that they meet business requirements
- Analyzes, reviews, and modifies programs to increase efficiency or adapt new requirements
- Prepares unit, system and customer test plans and conditions; analyzes and presents test results
- Ensures that program changes do not adversely affect other areas of the system, or interfacing systems
- Effectively uses programming aids and tools, utilities, database access methods, and systems software
- Keeps abreast of current and emerging information technology
- May evaluate vendor software
- May participate in conversion planning
- May assist in preparation of cost benefit analysis and estimates
- Managing Resources
- Participates in various projects and adheres to project schedules
- Ensures product delivery and quality through use of timelines, spreadsheets, and change management documentation
- Business Focus
- May be required to staff disaster recovery site
- Converts business requirements into program specifications
- Understands requirements and communicates how solutions will impact the business
- Assists programmers in providing second level applications support
- May be required to provide 24 hour on call support
