This will help to determine the needed skillset for the projects. Description

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager based in the US with a strong background in procurement to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in managing IT projects, with a specific focus on procurement processes and systems

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects related to procurement, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, IT, finance, and external vendors, to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Procurement Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of procurement processes to guide project decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely financial reporting.
• Change Management: Drive adoption of new procurement systems and processes across the organization, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.

Educational Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years focused on procurement-related projects.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, VLM, etc. ) and IT infrastructure.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Remote Work: Self-motivated and disciplined, with a track record of successfully managing projects in a remote work environment.
