Description

Position Overview: The SAP Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a critical role within Agile organizations implementing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The RTE serves as a servant leader and coach for multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in the SAP landscape. This position involves guiding and facilitating the Agile transformation process, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and continuous improvement across various SAP projects and teams.

Responsibilities
  • 1. ART Facilitation:
  • · Facilitate the Agile Release Train ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) planning, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt workshops, and retrospectives.
  • · Ensure seamless collaboration and communication among Agile teams, stakeholders, and product owners within the SAP context.
  • 2. Program Planning and Execution:
  • · Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams to plan, execute, and track Program Increments within SAP projects.
  • · Monitor and report on the progress of ARTs, identifying and resolving impediments that hinder the achievement of program objectives.
  • 3. Stakeholder Management:
  • · Act as a liaison between the ART and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and Agile teams' deliverables within the SAP domain.
  • · Facilitate regular demos and reviews to gather feedback from stakeholders and incorporate it into the development process.
  • 4. Agile Coaching:
  • · Provide coaching and mentoring to teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners on SAFe principles, practices, and SAP-specific implementations.
  • · Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability among SAP Agile teams.
  • 5. Continuous Improvement:
  • · Drive continuous improvement initiatives within ARTs, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • · Analyze metrics and feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement within SAP projects and the overall program.
  • 6. Risk Management:
  • · Identify and manage risks and dependencies across multiple Agile teams within SAP projects.
  • · Work closely with teams to proactively address issues, mitigate risks, and ensure the successful delivery of program increments.
  • 7. Leadership and Collaboration:
  • · Collaborate with other RTEs and Agile leaders to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization's Agile initiatives.
  • · Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Agile teams, fostering a positive and empowering work environment.
