Skills
Develop and manage project plans timelines budgets and resources for assigned projects. Immediate focus will be on Coupa implementation but may include other projects. Monitor project progress and manage risks issues and changes that may arise. Lead and facilitate project meetings and communication with project stakeholders (internal staff and external vendors). Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes. Provide regular status updates and progress reports to senior management. Experience managing project financials and creating and reviewing Project Business Cases & ROI (return on investment) value propositions. Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project success and identify areas for improvement. Work on-site on a hybrid remote basis to provide oversight and leadership to the project team.Description
Candidates must have solid tactical and conceptual knowledge managing implementations of either SAP Coupa (PREFERRED) or Ariba. Thorough knowledge of procurement cycle processes.
multinational oil and gas client located in Deer Park, TX (Greater Houston) to support their go-live with Coupa scheduled for March 2024. To that end, we are looking for a qualified project manager with strong experience implementing either Coupa or Ariba.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within deadlines and budget constraints while ensuring adherence to high-quality standards. The Project Manager will work on-site a few days a week to manage and lead the project team and ensure project objectives are met.
The candidate must seek to understand the Refinery core business processes and will be responsible for defining Project methodologies, best practices, policies & procedures, and define overall implementation standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department leads to develop Project definitions and metrics for success.
- Track and report on Project budgets and Project status.
- Collaborate with internal PMO (Project Management Office) to develop portfolio-level metrics.
- Communicate, influence, motivate, and negotiate vertically and horizontally within the site.
- Able to communicate efficiently with site senior management.
- Work closely with all IT Project Managers and other stakeholders to understand project dependencies.
- Develop and deliver weekly and monthly status reports to Project steering committees.
- Third party vendor management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration or project management.
- Proven experience in end-to-end project management.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Expertise in Coupa, Ariba, or SAP preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands.
- Experience working in Oil and Gas or ideally Downstream/Refineries.
- Willingness to work on-site on a hybrid remote basis.
- Experience working with different Project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
- Experience with standard PMO tools – MS Project, SharePoint, JIRA, Visio, Plainview PPM Pro.
