Skills
Plan facilitate and conduct all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups sprint planning retrospectives and reviews. Ensure that the Scrum process is followed and continually improved. Guide and support Scrum teams to deliver high-quality products and adhere to Agile principles. Mentor and coach team members on Agile best practices and ensure their growth and development. Collaborate with Product Owners to define and prioritize the product backlog. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide transparency and align on project goals and progress. Identify and remove any impediments or obstacles that hinder the team's progress. Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution within the team. Track team performance metrics and report progress to management and stakeholders. Utilize Rally (or similar tools) to manage and track team activities sprints and backlog items. Promote continuous improvement practices within the team and organization. Conduct regular retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable plans.Description
AIG is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Scrum Master with a strong background in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in Agile methodologies and a proven track record of successfully leading Scrum teams. Experience with Rally is a plus.
Responsibilities
- 12+ years of experience in a Scrum Master or Agile Coach role.
- Strong background in the Property and Casualty insurance domain.
- Proven experience leading and managing Scrum teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Experience with Agile project management tools such as Rally, JIRA, or equivalent.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
- Tools Experience:
- Hands-on experience with Rally is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with other Agile tools and techniques is a plus.
