Job Title: Server and Network Administrator
Location - Day 1 Onsite: La Verne, CA
contract - 6months

Job summary

Company will provide Services to Gilead to deliver network and server administration for the La Verne manufacturing expansion.
The objectives are to technically support La Verne facility expansion activities and communication to improve upon communication procedures, consolidate work artifacts and publish summary updates.
Network Administration
Install/configure computer networks and systems
Ensure network security and connectivity
Define network policies and procedures
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
Server Administration
Apply OS patches
Apply Database patches
Hardware diagnostics
Updated security firewalls are updated and functional
Server monitoring (Processes, memory utilization, zombie processes, load, disk utilization, etc)
Install and configure monitoring tools such as nagios, hp, etc
Backups
Server Hardening: BIOS/GRUB password setup; configure firewall/iptables; review audit logs & rotate the logs as required
Communication and Collaboration Improvements
Collaboration Analysis
Analyze process delays related to team activities
Identify performance bottlenecks that require collaboration
Develop use cases, process and information flows for collaboration opportunities
Centralize Communication
Create use cases, process and information flows for centralized portal for target audience and communication
Develop portal pages for new target audiences
