Barings’ Global Technology & Data group is seeking an experienced SharePoint developer to join its Corporate Systems team. The associate will join a team that works in a dynamic setting that involves creating SharePoint Online sites, integrations, and custom solutions, as well as managing the SharePoint Online platform. The SharePoint developer will be responsible for all phases of the development lifecycle and will assist with managing the product backlog and feature prioritization process.
The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of SharePoint Online as well as key integrations and capabilities available within the platform. The candidate must be able to perform the necessary tasks to design and develop SharePoint solutions along with customizations for and maintenance of existing solutions. A qualified candidate will be skilled in resolving problems in the production environment and must be capable of working either on their own or as a cooperative member of a project team. The position requires the candidate to work closely with SharePoint users across the firm and key client stakeholders and technology leaders.
Responsibilities
- • Devise technical specifications and develop solutions for a variety of stakeholders in SharePoint Online
- • Assist with SharePoint Online administration duties
- • Implement and uphold SharePoint Online governance policies
- • Deliver value through projects of varying complexity to the end-user community, primarily using the Microsoft suite – SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.
- • Provide technical engineering services, training and consultancy to key stakeholders and the broader SharePoint user base
- • Ensure the services being fulfilled are in line with business expectations and delivers sustainable performance following transition to the Operational phase of the software lifecycle
- Core Qualifications
- • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- • 5+ years of experience with SharePoint development and administration
- • 3+years of experience in technical analysis and design, preferably within a consulting environment or large enterprise
- • Experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- • Demonstrated experience building custom webparts
- Other Qualifications
- • Thorough understanding of SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online platform capabilities
- • Experience with:
- - SharePoint Framework
- - PowerShell scripting
- - JavaScript/TypeScript with Node JS
- - ShareGate
- - Power Automate and Power Apps
- - SharePoint REST services
- - HTML/CSS
