Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions on the Microsoft 365 platform. Assess existing SharePoint sites libraries and content to develop migration strategies that minimize disruption and ensure data integrity. Configure and customize SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 components to meet specific business needs related to food industry processes (e.g. document management collaboration compliance). Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to facilitate smooth transition and adoption of Microsoft 365 tools. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 applications post-migration. Stay updated on Microsoft 365 platform developments and recommend enhancements or new features that could benefit the organization.Description
We are seeking a talented SharePoint Microsoft 365 Migration Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the migration of our SharePoint environment to Microsoft 365, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the technological advancement of our organization within the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience (X years) in migrating SharePoint environments to Microsoft 365, preferably within the food industry or similar regulated environments.
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, etc.), and related technologies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101) related to SharePoint and Microsoft 365 are preferred.
- Experience with data governance, compliance, and security practices in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
