We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake and AWS Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our data warehouse infrastructure on Snowflake within the AWS ecosystem.
This role requires deep expertise in both Snowflake and AWS services to ensure efficient data storage, processing, and analytics capabilities.
Configure, monitor, and maintain Snowflake environments to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
Implement best practices for data modeling, security, and governance within Snowflake.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data loading, querying, and system performance.
AWS Infrastructure Management:
Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure components to support Snowflake workloads, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
Optimize AWS services for cost-effectiveness, performance, and scalability.
Implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions within the AWS environment.
Data Integration and ETL:
Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest data from various sources into Snowflake.
Integrate Snowflake with other AWS services and third-party tools for data processing and analysis.
Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the ETL process.
Performance Tuning and Optimization:
Monitor system performance metrics and identify areas for optimization.
Work closely with data engineers and analysts to optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows.
Implement caching, partitioning, and indexing strategies to improve query performance.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security policies and access controls within Snowflake and AWS.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
