The SQL Server DBA provides a technical role in maintaining the operational stability and security of AHM’s SQL Server database environment in a cost effective manner. Additional responsibilities include providing DBA resources for database development projects funded by the application teams/business act as liaison between the SQL Server database team and application teams he/she ensures that all project deliverables by the DBA team are completed within schedule and budget. The SQL Server DBA also works closely with Data Architecture team in understanding project requirements leading to the design build and implementation of SQL Server databases. • Project Development Support • Tuning Monitoring and Patching • Inter/Intra Organizational Communication • Backup and Recovery • Security and Compliance of the SQL Server database environmentDescription
1. Extensive experience Microsoft SQL Server Database administration including monitoring and tuning, job automation, maintenance task, backup recovery, analyze database performance.
2. Expert knowledge on troubleshooting SQL issues,
3. Good Knowledge of AWS MS SQL installation and maintenance.
4. Hands on Experience in installing, configuring, managing, database migrating, and troubleshooting MS SQL Server 2014/2016/17/2019/2022.
5. HA solutions includes Log shipping, Mirroring, Replication, Snapshot recovery, Always ON and failover clustering.
Responsibilities
- • 5-8 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator experience
- • 2-4 years of experience in working large scale projects.
- • Should have knowledge of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platforms.
- • 1-2 years of experience in SOX related requests.
- • Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server database administration, architecture/design, data analysis and management
- • Strong technical knowledge of current SQL Server database systems and versions, including other Windows based tools, utilities and active directory.
- • Extensive application support experience working with application teams.
- • High-level understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development.
- • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- • In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- • Good understanding of Project Management skills.
- • Automotive industry IT knowledge is preferred.
