Description
Database administration for Microsoft SQL Server.
Expertise in Database development, advanced TSQL, Stored Procedure, views, etc.
Strong knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server.
Performance tuning and optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
Experience managing database backups, restores, and recovery models.
Experience implementing operational automation using scripts (especially Powershell).
Strong knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.
Knowledge of implementing security in classified databases.
DevOps and CI-CD (Azure Pipelines) experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services nice to have.
Windows server experience, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations nice to have.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- 8 to 9 years of experience in IT operations with a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- 8 years of Microsoft SQL Server DBA Experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
