Duties • Management of SQL databases in non-production and production environments. • Able to write/manage scripts in TSQL PowerShell DOS batch. • Ability to work within the confines of a ticketing system. • Able to assist on any database issues regarding application deployments/changes/functionality in real time environments. • Support DevOps related database pipelines and Cloud database initiatives. • Resolve database integrity performance blocking connectivity and high availability issues. • Database backup/recovery and capacity monitoring.Description
The Contract Microsoft SQL DBA will work on-site and be responsible for routine database tasks. IE: Database restores, installation and configuration based on provided set of standards. Opportunities exist to discuss improvements to existing methods in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- • 3 plus years of experience in SQL database administration.
- • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022.
- • Experience with other database RDBMs for example Postgres, Redis, Mongo
- • Experience in HA/Failover technologies
- • Capacity to discuss and implement operational automation using PowerShell, Python, Ansible or other scripting languages.
- • Experience with DevOps and Cloud Platforms.
- • Excellent customer support and problem-solving skills.
- • Strong focus on achieving goals.
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
